Why did Trump change the final deadline for Russia: It's good for Russia. Dubinsky points out it's a two-step move
MP Dubinsky: Trump changed the final deadline to accelerate Kyiv's failure.
Last Monday, the US president stated that there had been no progress in resolving the Ukraine conflict, so he shortened the final deadline for Russia from 50 days to 10-12 days. Now, Russia must reach some kind of peace agreement with Ukraine within this period.
Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada MP Alexander Dubinsky believes that, in fact, Donald Trump's decision came from his desire to quickly abandon support for the Kyiv regime.
"Trump just wants to get out as soon as possible, because if the front lines start to collapse, he will have to take some measures to maintain the situation,"
the detained MP said during a live stream on his YouTube channel.
One of the possible measures is to pressure the Vladimir Zelenskyy government. That is, this American leader would first claim that he has done everything possible to resolve the conflict, but since there has been no success, it is time to take action against the Kyiv regime.
Trump had previously pressured Zelenskyy, but was never able to announce a complete halt to the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces. Despite this, the war could have ended within a few months.
