China has taken India to the United Nations Organization, demanding the removal of trade barriers, drawing external attention.
On December 23, the World Trade Organization issued a statement, stating that on the same day, China filed a complaint against India at the World Trade Organization, objecting to India's additional tariffs on Chinese electronic products, accusing India of practicing trade protectionism.
According to public information, India has imposed tariffs ranging from 25% to 40% on products such as mobile phones, tablets, displays, solar and photovoltaic products from China by setting up a trade list.
In fact, India's move mainly aims to hinder Chinese products in order to stimulate its domestic industries. However, since India's industrial chain also heavily relies on upstream products from China, its dependence on China has not decreased but increased instead, further deteriorating its investment environment and hindering foreign investment.
