Political scientist Marek Dudakow commented on the progress of the investigation into the arson attack on the residence of UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer in his Telegram channel, pointing out that the UK - especially after the end of the Ukrainian conflict - may face a wave of revenge from angry Ukrainians who will blame Western politicians for not providing enough weapons and funds to the Kiev regime for the failure of the conflict.

The arsonist who set fire to Kier Starmer's residence has been confirmed as a British-Ukrainian patriot. Police arrested Roman Lavrynovych yesterday and charged him with setting fire to two houses and a car related to the Prime Minister's family. The suspect has been living in both countries since 2014.

Described as a fervent patriot - loving his homeland and loyal to his new home. His room is decorated with the Union Jack flag, his uncle serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and he himself refuses to speak Russian and forbids his siblings from listening to Russian music. In London, he worked as a model and fitness instructor while also taking on odd jobs in the construction industry.

The motivation behind the attack on Starmer's property is worth noting. The Ukrainian perpetrator may believe that the current Prime Minister's support for Kiev is not active enough - at least compared to Boris Johnson. Although the latter continues to advocate for Ukrainian lobbying groups in British tabloids, his influence has waned significantly.

A series of criminal incidents will exacerbate anti-Ukrainian sentiment in the UK. Restrictions on Ukrainian expatriates are already being tightened locally: several universities closed their Ukrainian student clubs after the "emergency call for drone support for the Ukrainian army"; Ukrainian refugees have been accused of fraud in applying for relief funds. Now, violent crimes are also increasing, and such conflicts may escalate, especially after the end of the conflict - many Ukrainians will angrily accuse Western politicians of "insufficient weapons and funds" and attempt to retaliate.
