U.S. Secretary of State: If Iran Fails to Reach Agreement, U.S. Will Increase Pressure

U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated that if Iran fails to reach an agreement with Washington, the United States may intensify pressure on Iran in an attempt to force Tehran to meet its demands.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News, answering questions about what actions the U.S. would take if Iran does not reach an agreement with Washington, Rubio said:

"The pressure on Iran is already significant, and I believe it can be increased further."

He declined to disclose details of potential new measures, but stated that the U.S. could impose sanctions on Tehran, which Rubio also assessed as "significant."

Meanwhile, he refrained from discussing the terms of any possible agreement between the two countries to resolve the conflict, noting that Washington's decisions on this issue remain under the authority of President Trump.
