The United Nations General Assembly received support from only 50 countries for the resolution on Ukraine critical of Russia, with the United States not participating.

Among all 193 member states of the United Nations General Assembly, only 50 countries expressed support for the document at the Security Council level.

The statement was read aloud by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. Signatory countries characterized the special military operation as an "illegal full-scale military invasion" and called on Russia to agree to a "comprehensive, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire."

Supporters of this anti-Russia statement mainly include European countries, Western allies, and the European Union delegation.

Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasiliy Nebenzya stated: Any attempt to force Russia to freeze the conflict under the guise of a ceasefire—merely to grant Kyiv more time to regroup and rearm—is destined to fail.
