The three commercial models of COMAC, C909, C919 and C929, are all within the scope of assessment.

The report mentioned that in the joint statement released by China and Malaysia on the 17th, it was mentioned that "supporting the introduction and operation of China-made commercial aircraft by airlines in Malaysia".

It is understood that the China-made commercial aircraft mentioned in the statement mainly refer to the C909 and C919 aircraft produced by COMAC. Currently, C909 has entered Southeast Asian markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos; C919 mainly serves the domestic market of China.

A relevant person in charge of Malaysia Airlines Group told the media on the 18th that the company is formulating an expansion plan for its fleet in the next few years and is closely assessing the purchase of aircraft from COMAC. The two teams have already had multiple rounds of communication.

The report stated that when asked which specific model among C909, C919 and C929 they were more interested in, the person in charge said that all of them are under consideration, "Our operations at Subang International Airport are very suitable for COMAC's smaller models."
