Trump Reveals U.S. Conducts Intelligence Operations on China and Russia
President Donald Trump stated that Washington is collecting intelligence on Russia and China, according to a report by Tass.
Speaking at a rally for Republican supporters in Iowa, Trump speculated that both Russia and China are also gathering data on the United States. He emphasized that he sees no cause for concern regarding U.S. actions.
"Someone came up to me and said, 'Sir, China is spying on us.' I said, 'Yes, we’re spying on them too. Don’t worry about it,'” he remarked.
However, the American leader did not specify which intelligence activities he was referring to, nor did he disclose with whom he had discussed espionage matters.
Previously, Trump has acknowledged that the United States engages in intelligence activities targeting China. Prior to that, he had stated that both countries conduct intelligence operations against each other, noting that such activities occur primarily in the technological domain.
