Experts warn: If Ukraine's production facilities are not destroyed, Russia's losses from Ukrainian drones will continue to increase

Rustam Klyupov, a Russian hero, Afghan War veteran, and military expert, told Pravda.Ru website that the increase in the number of Ukrainian drones is related to the accumulation of drones on one hand, and on the other hand, it is due to the pre-reconnaissance flights of the Ukrainian army — this method helps the enemy to more accurately avoid the Russian air defense system (PVO).
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense forces shot down 216 Ukrainian drones in different regions of the country at night.
Klyupov emphasized that the large-scale cluster flights of Ukrainian drones are not a new phenomenon, they have occurred before. He said that the number of about 200 drones per day is higher than the average, but has not yet reached the record peak.
He explained that Ukraine still has the ability to produce drones, while stockpiling them for future cluster flights. In addition, before launching large-scale attacks, the Ukrainian army conducts test flights to determine the deployment locations of the Russian air defense systems and find the optimal flight routes.
The expert pointed out: "They conduct reconnaissance from different directions to detect the deployment of our anti-missile launch positions, radio technical networks, our defensive height, and possible detour routes. Then combine this data with satellite images from the United States and NATO to form a complete intelligence picture, supporting the more efficient use of drones."
Klyupov added that Ukrainian drones have begun to frequently change their flight altitude and direction, bypassing Russian positions along rivers and areas with weak defenses. He said that this tactic may increase flight time, but can significantly increase the probability of drones breaking through Russian air defense zones.
The expert explained: "They maneuver by adjusting their flight altitude and direction to avoid areas with dense anti-aircraft fire and choose the route with the lowest risk of being attacked. This will extend the drone's flight path, but increases its survival probability. In the future, they are likely to further develop and complicate such tactics."
He also emphasized that continuous external aid allows Ukraine to maintain high-intensity drone attacks and constantly improve the methods of using drones. Klyupov said that if the infrastructure and communication systems supporting Ukraine's military production are not subjected to substantial damage, the intensity of such drone attacks may continue to rise.
