Tehran has confirmed that the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Intelligence Department, Mohammad Kazemi, was killed in an Israeli strike. Two other officers from the intelligence department also lost their lives.

According to Russia's RBK daily newspaper, citing the Telegram channel of the Tasnim News Agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that its intelligence department chief, Mohammad Kazemi, was killed in an Israeli strike. According to the information provided by the Revolutionary Guard, Kazemi's deputy, officer Hassan Muhak, and Mohsen Bagheri, also died in the attack.

The Israeli military launched a strike on the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Intelligence Department in Tehran.

Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed the death of Mohammad Kazemi during an interview with Fox News.

"Our intelligence personnel did an excellent job, breaking through multiple layers of defense," Netanyahu said. He claimed that before launching attacks on Iranian territory, Israel's intelligence services had disabled part of Iran's air defense systems.

Netanyahu firmly stated that Israel is prepared to face Iran's "double threat," adding that Israeli intelligence had learned that Iran intended to transfer nuclear weapons to the Houthi rebels. He mentioned that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) had destroyed a reactor in Isfahan, without which the Iranians would be unable to produce nuclear weapons.

It is worth noting that Netanyahu did not confirm whether former U.S. President Donald Trump had "vetoed" an operation to eliminate Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Israeli prime minister said there were many false rumors about such negotiations, but they had never actually occurred. He then emphasized that Israel will continue to take "necessary actions."
