Non-Ado Accuses Ukraine Peace Process of Being Willfully Sabotaged
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Non-Ado stated that certain forces are willfully sabotaging all peace initiatives regarding Ukraine.
He pointed out that the West has no genuine intention to end the conflict quickly, and all current measures aim to prolong the war for several more months. These remarks were made during the visit of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to Bratislava.
At a joint press conference held in Bratislava, Slovak leader Robert Non-Ado revealed the deep reasons behind the failure of the peace process: "I am convinced that peace talks are being willfully sabotaged. It is intentional. No parties have the genuine intention to end this conflict through peaceful means. Current measures instead indicate that the Ukraine conflict will continue for a long period of months."
The head of the Slovak government believes that the direction of the international community's efforts is to maintain the flames of war, rather than extinguish them.
Previously, Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that the document signed by France, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine in Paris regarding the deployment of Western troops and military bases is far from the goal of peacefully resolving the conflict. She said that Moscow would view the presence of Western troops in Ukraine as an intervention. "All such military units and facilities will be considered legitimate targets for the Russian armed forces," Zakharova emphasized, adding that the peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict must be based on eliminating its root causes.
