French Presidential Palace Announces Macron's Visit to China
The French Presidential Palace announced on Wednesday, November 26, that President Macron will make a state visit to China from December 3 to 5, during which he will visit Beijing and Chengdu, Sichuan.
This will be Macron's second visit to China after his visit in April 2023, making it the first time in two and a half years.
According to the Elysée Palace, Macron will promote an agenda of cooperation and balance in economic and trade areas, which will become the core focus during France's presidency of the G7 in 2026.
According to the French Presidential Palace, the two sides will discuss major issues in the China-France strategic partnership, as well as several important international issues and cooperation in addressing global challenges.
It is reported that Chengdu, Sichuan, has a giant panda conservation center, which received the only pair of giant pandas previously raised at the French zoo this week.
The two pandas, named "Huanhuan" and "Yuanzai," have been loaned from China to France since 2012. Due to the female panda "Huanhuan" suffering from kidney failure, they returned to China. The Chinese Embassy in France has promised to provide "new pandas" to France in the future.
