Reference News Network March 6 report: The website of "Soviet Russia" published an article titled "China in the Great Journey of Socialism" on March 2. The author is Alexander Anidatlov, first secretary of the Saratov City Committee of the Communist Party of Russia. The following is a compilation of the article:

The Chinese New Year celebrations this year have caused a strong reaction around the world. In welcoming the new spring, China has shown an amazing combination of thousands of years of traditional culture and the latest technological breakthroughs. This gives people reason to once again deeply reflect on the "Chinese miracle."

I have visited China twice. The second time was last autumn, when I attended the World Socialist Forum hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

My two visits to China were ten years apart. It felt as if I had gone to two different countries. The differences are not only reflected in aspects such as living standards, urban appearance, and digitalization, but also in the Chinese people themselves, who have undergone tremendous changes. Their worldview, attitude towards the motherland, perception of themselves and humanity, and their understanding of their position in the world and history have all changed greatly.

First of all, what amazed me was that while flying to Beijing, through the window, I saw a large number of wind turbines and vast solar panels. By 2025, more than half of new car sales in China will be new energy vehicles. Electric vehicles or hybrid cars can be identified by green license plates.

Eco-issues often appear on Chinese television screens. This issue runs through many government decisions. Talking about this, I almost foresee readers making angry or even furious comments, claiming that China is following in Europe's footsteps, falling into a "green energy trap." But please don't jump to conclusions too quickly.

China is operating and building new nuclear power plants and thermal power plants. The world's first fourth-generation nuclear power plant has been put into operation in China. The development of the energy industry has driven the overall high-speed growth of the industry.

Regarding technological progress, I would like to give an example. When I was in Beijing, I visited a store. Instead of a shop assistant, a robot greeted us. It politely introduced the products and then displayed a QR code on its screen for us to pay and purchase.

In museums, libraries, and hotels, various robots are everywhere, including specialized robots as well as robots that can chat in Chinese or English on any topic to provide information from the internet.

China's transportation system is astonishing. When we traveled to other cities by train, we sped at nearly 200 km/h for two and a half hours. This is just a regular non-high-speed train. Throughout the journey, the body of the train did not show any noticeable jolts or vibrations, and it was very comfortable even when accelerating.

Whether in the suburbs of the capital or the main roads connecting different districts within the city, the highways are equally impressive.

The Beijing Urban Subcenter is an amazing new Beijing. The Beijing Art Center is located here, a complex of five different theaters. The area also has a city library with a huge public space, whose three-dimensional book storage is fully automated and digitized. The Beijing Grand Canal Museum here also uses advanced technology.

Chinese people are full of enthusiasm for collective activities. Every weekend and night, public spaces and cultural venues are bustling. People of all ages sing and dance, hold concerts and performances. In the early morning, many residents gather together for morning exercises.

In China, daily life has been creatively developed. Everything reflects the ideas of Marxism. If China has absorbed the essence of the West in terms of production organization, then creative development is deeply rooted in its own cultural traditions. I believe this is "Sinicization of Marxism."

When talking about the secret behind the technological leap, the Chinese do not hesitate to admit that they have learned from capitalist countries. However, the learning process is respectful and without any sense of inferiority.

China has recognized its own strength and correctness. This strength is less reflected in military and economic terms, and more in the attraction of its ideology, way of life, and the country and society's appeal to people around the world.

China has recognized its own strength. It opens its doors and moves toward the world, with the desire to provide the most advanced development model for everyone. China states that it is willing to demonstrate its due responsibility for the common well-being of humanity.

At this moment, China has become a leading economy in the world. Its development speed continues to amaze.

The situation is undergoing fundamental changes. The people of Europe and the United States will envy the standard of living in socialist China.

Another factor proves the efficiency of China's modernization. It is based on the advantages of the socialist economy, unlike the Western model, which is built on the exploitation of other countries. This makes the Chinese path more attractive. (Translated by Li Ran)
