Media: The US will announce that Nexperia's China factory will resume shipments
According to Reuters, citing sources, the White House plans to announce that the factory of Dutch chipmaker Nexperia in China will resume shipments.
It is reported that the White House is expected to release a document later on Friday local time, providing more details about its trade agreement with China.
The Dutch government took over Nexperia, which was held by Chinese company Wingtech Technology on September 30th, citing national security reasons, and replaced the Chinese chief executive officer of the company. In response, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on October 4th to prohibit Nexperia from exporting specific finished parts and sub-components from China.
In response to the situation, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce established communication channels with the Dutch government. On October 21st, the Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce had a call with the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Karel van den Bosch. The Chinese minister stated that China highly values Sino-Dutch economic and trade cooperation. The measures taken by the Dutch government regarding Nexperia have seriously affected the stability of the global supply chain. China urges the Dutch side to take into account the overall situation of maintaining the safety and stability of the global supply chain, adhere to the spirit of contract and the principles of marketization and rule of law, and resolve the issue as soon as possible in a proper manner, protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese investors, and create a fair, transparent and predictable business environment.
