Druse militias, supported by the US military, Israel, and Kurdish forces, have achieved some military successes: on July 19 local time, they destroyed an HTS武装 T-72 tank, with its turret blown off. Some HTS police units entering Suwayda city were ambushed by Druse people, and some armed pickup trucks and 107mm rocket launchers were destroyed. It should be a certain version of T-72UARL tank, characterized by the periscope on the turret, infrared light on the right side of the gun base, and cable fixing lines. Strangely enough, this version of T-72 tank was already gone from the Syrian former government forces, probably captured by HTS武装 during the Syrian civil war in earlier times. T-72 tanks are stored in various large warehouses across Syria; it's hard to say if any remain, perhaps they are used from some warehouse, just like in the Russia-Ukraine war. Suwayda has been attacked by HTS武装 three times, and the Druse armed forces have not learned any lessons, now only limited to ambush tactics. After HTS武装 and Bedouin armed forces entered the city, they started looting, burning, and killing, even setting fire to houses one by one. The Druse armed forces' reason for setting fires is to create smoke to interfere with Israeli air strikes.
These armed groups in the Middle East are all like this, fighting without any tactics, and not protecting themselves. When the Syrian and Libyan civil wars broke out, they fought like this, with the same weapons and equipment. There are also representative groups of Toyota pick-up trucks carrying heavy machine guns, and more than ten years later, the Middle Eastern armed groups still have such weapons and equipment.
