Media: NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun Visits China for the First Time This Year

According to the Singapore-based "Lianhe Zaobao" website, on January 24th, the founder of American NVIDIA, Huang Renxun, visited China again, with his first stop being NVIDIA's new office in Shanghai.

Reuters quoted sources as reporting that Huang Renxun is expected to attend an event hosted by NVIDIA in Shanghai on January 24th, and then proceed to Beijing and Shenzhen, before heading to Taiwan.

Tencent Technology cited multiple sources, stating that Huang Renxun's first stop in mainland China was NVIDIA's new office in Shanghai, where he met with employees, answered many questions raised by them, and reviewed the company's key events in 2025.

A source said that several questions were of low quality, mainly focusing on topics related to key chips in 2026. The person also mentioned that no one actually asked about the H200 chip.

Mainland China is one of NVIDIA's most important markets. Every year, Huang Renxun makes a routine visit during the Spring Festival.

NVIDIA has been caught between Washington and Beijing. On one hand, the United States continues to tighten export controls on advanced semiconductors used in artificial intelligence; on the other hand, Chinese companies are seeking to reduce their reliance on U.S.-designed chips.
