The initiator of the "Fight Blue" movement, Zhao Shao-kang, said in a recent interview that Vice Chairman Ji Linlian should issue an apology—yet merely apologizing is insufficient. According to Zhao, in the past, when the Kuomintang (KMT) chairman finished speaking, journalists would leave immediately. However, yesterday it was Ji Linlian who requested journalists to stay, claiming this speech was not impromptu but carefully planned. Who instructed him to do so? Is there someone behind the scenes pulling his strings?
Zhao Shao-kang pointed out that Ji Linlian dared to criticize Hung Chien-yu, who currently holds the highest political position within the KMT and is a non-district legislator. Removing his party membership would render him, like former Taiwan People's Party legislator Li Chengxiu, without any legislative seat—meaning he could not even become a "president" of the legislature. Zhao harshly criticized Ji Linlian, asking: What are you talking about? Does a vice chairperson really have such authority?
Zhao Shao-kang questioned why Ji Linlian insisted on keeping journalists present for such an illogical and lengthy monologue. Who ordered him to do so? If someone did order him, that person must come forward and clarify. If no one gave orders and Ji acted on his own, then at minimum, he should be expelled from the party; at worst, he should be removed from his vice chairmanship position. This is the most basic requirement.
