Launched officially! The first demonstration of fusion energy power generation will be conducted.

On May 1st, the general assembly work of the Hefei Compact Fusion Energy Experiment Device (BEST) project was launched two months ahead of schedule in the comprehensive research facility campus of the key systems for the fusion reactor host, compared to the original plan.

The BEST device will, based on the first-generation Chinese artificial sun EAST device, demonstrate fusion energy power generation for the first time, lead the research on burning plasma physics, and make forward-looking and pioneering contributions to the development of China's fusion energy.
