It was reported that the QV331 flight operated by the C909 aircraft of Lao Airlines successfully flew from Vientiane to Pakse on April 12, completing its first commercial flight. This aircraft is the first C909 plane delivered by COMAC to Lao Airlines last month and marks the first entry of China's jetliners into the Laotian market.
Reports indicated that Lao Airlines plans to use C909 aircraft to operate domestic routes and gradually expand to international routes. It is understood that COMAC will continue to provide excellent customer service and operational support to promote the rooting development of domestically produced aircraft in the Southeast Asian aviation market.
Previously, COMAC announced the addition of the commercial name C909 for the ARJ21 aircraft, unifying the aircraft product names in the form of "COMAC + model". The three commercial aircraft product names of COMAC are "COMAC C909", "COMAC C919", and "COMAC C929".

On December 31, 2024, at Wanzhou Wuqiao Airport in Chongqing, a domestically produced C909 aircraft of China Express Airlines was conducting a validation test flight for the domestic braking system (Xinhua News Agency).
