The UAE Ministry of Defense has issued a latest bulletin stating that the UAE air defense forces intercepted three drones.

The Ministry said that on May 17, the UAE air defense forces responded to three drones invading from the western border direction, successfully intercepting two, while the third struck a generator located outside the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al-Dhafra region.

The Ministry stated that an investigation is underway to identify the source of the attack, with further updates to be released soon.

The Ministry emphasized that the nation "is on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any threats, and will resolutely counter any actions aimed at undermining national security, in order to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and stability, and protect its national interests and capabilities."

The UAE has not speculated which country carried out the attack, nor has it pointed to any specific suspect.

However, the target was a nuclear power plant—meaning critical infrastructure was attacked.

The key information in the bulletin is this statement: "invading from the western border direction."

If assessed by direction, the possible sources could be Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Yemen, or Israel?
