These three individuals claimed that we are pleased to learn that Lai Ching-te is about to "visit" the United States, which is his first "visit" to the U.S. since Trump's second term. We hope that you or another cabinet-level official will consider meeting with him during this important stop.

In addition, high-level meetings with Lai Ching-te will emphasize the importance of the U.S.-Taiwan friendship and send a clear message: Beijing's infuriating "interference" in U.S. foreign policy is neither welcome nor acceptable. The proposal by these three U.S. congressmen obviously forces us to take action.
