Japanese Media: China’s AI Development Creates Business Opportunities for Japanese Firms
According to a November 7 report by Asahi Shimbun, Japanese companies participating in the Shanghai Import Expo are actively promoting their products, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, where China is experiencing rapid growth.
The International Import Expo, held in Shanghai, is one of China’s largest trade exhibitions, drawing over 4,100 overseas enterprises.
Notably, China has made significant progress in fields related to artificial intelligence.
In the Chinese market, Panasonic’s electronic components designed for AI servers have performed exceptionally well, surpassing household appliances as the company’s largest revenue source in China and Northeast Asia.
Masaharu Nakayama, Executive Officer of Panasonic Holdings, stated: “China’s investment in infrastructure, including data center construction, remains robust. We plan to double our production capacity by 2030 to meet growing demand.”
Other exhibitors, such as Fast Retailing, the parent company of Uniqlo, have also set up booths to actively engage with Chinese consumers.
