Members of the Vietnamese military visited the J-16, but the cockpit area is off-limits to them.
Recently, the QPVN Chinese Channel of the Vietnam National Television broadcast a clip showing that during the 4th China-ASEAN Young Officers Friendly Exchange Activities, the Vietnamese People's Army delegation was accompanied by Chinese military representatives to visit the J-16 heavy fighter jet and the "Feibao" fighter-bomber (JH-7) and other active models of our military.
However, unlike the JH-7 model, the Vietnamese military personnel were not allowed to enter the cockpit of the J-16 for inspection, while the JH-7 could be viewed freely. In addition, the serial number of the J-16 was covered by the national flag, apparently to avoid revealing too much information.
