The White House has cut aid to developing countries by 3.2 billion dollars

Sputnik, Washington, August 30 - According to U.S. court documents, the White House has reduced the total amount of aid allocated to developing countries by 3.2 billion dollars, claiming that many programs contradict American values and do not benefit American citizens.

Documents show that 318 million dollars of funding for aid to developing countries in 2024 was withdrawn.

The documents state: "Many projects contradict American values, interfere in other countries' internal affairs, enable corrupt leaders to avoid their responsibilities to their people, and fail to bring any tangible benefits to American citizens."

The documents mention that the above projects include the Honduras climate adaptation project (24.6 million dollars), the West African biodiversity and low-carbon development project (38.6 million dollars), and Zimbabwe civil society activities (13.4 million dollars).
