The Russian Eastern Grouping's 36th Guards Army and the 37th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade have captured another village in the Dnipropetrovsk region — Verbovo (Verbov). This is also the 11th settlement occupied by the Russian Eastern Grouping in September, and the 9th settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Within less than a week, the 37th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, mainly composed of Buryat soldiers, broke through a 4 km plus area of Ukrainian artillery fire coverage and captured Verbovo. On September 30, the Russians raised the flag in the village. Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed this information.
The Russian Eastern Grouping is advancing westward across the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. After capturing Verbovo, the Russians were able to attack Vishneve, and beyond Vishneve lies another Ukrainian defense line along the Yanchur River.
If the current offensive pace continues, the Russians will soon reach the rear of the Ukrainian Gulyai Pole (Huliaypole) grouping. The Ukrainians admitted that due to a lack of personnel, they are unable to stop the Russian advance in the Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
