China Turns to Canada for Oil Imports, Placing US as a Bystander

According to Bloomberg, due to the trade war announced by Trump, China's imports of oil from the US have decreased by 90%, and it has turned to importing a record amount of oil from Canada.

In March this year, oil shipments to China reached a record high of 7.3 million barrels. Due to the expansion of the Trans Mountain Pipeline, China and East Asian countries have gained access to more Canadian oil supplies.
