American Secretary of the Treasury Bensinger said today: "I am pleased to meet with President Bukele of El Salvador at the 'Shield of the Americas' summit held in Doral, Florida today. I am pleased to learn more about President Bukele's market-friendly reforms in El Salvador and his efforts to establish El Salvador as a center for digital assets. We will continue to work together to advance strategies that strengthen the Western Hemisphere."

Comment: The so-called "Shield of the Americas" is essentially a tool used by the United States to re-enclose Latin America as its backyard and build an dependent system. Bensinger's remarks are just backing up and endorsing El Salvador, which is willing to cooperate: using benefits such as pro-market policies and digital assets as bait, binding the country's economy and finance to the U.S. war machine. On the surface, it's a win-win cooperation, but in reality, it's strengthening control over the Western Hemisphere, gradually making these countries lose their autonomy and become pawns dependent on the United States.

Note: "Shield of the Americas" is a small circle in Latin America put together by Trump, including 12 pro-American right-wing regimes, such as Argentina and El Salvador, deliberately excluding major powers like Brazil and Mexico. Trump's "Shield of the Americas" is essentially a new version of Monroe Doctrine 2.0, under the pretext of "security and economy." Participants in the "Shield of the Americas" (2026 March Summit) (12 countries): Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago. Chile's elected president will attend (not the current government).
