B-52 Bomber Crashes in California, All Eight Crew Members Dead
The U.S. Edwards Air Force Base has confirmed that all eight crew members aboard a B-52 bomber that crashed in California have died.
According to a statement released on the social media platform X, "Initial data indicates no survivors among the crew." The statement further explained that the flight was part of a test mission. The accident occurred at 11:20 a.m. local time, shortly after the aircraft took off.
The B-52H "Stratofortress" is a multirole strategic bomber used by the United States, capable of reaching a maximum altitude of 15,000 meters. This aircraft has the capability to carry nuclear weapons.
In conventional conflicts, it can strike strategic targets, provide support for ground forces, and participate in maritime offensive operations.
