Foreign media: China has established and launched a super artificial intelligence (AI) system that is directly connected to the national supercomputing network, capable of independently conducting high-level scientific research. The project was launched on December 23, 2025, just one month after US President Trump announced the "Genesis Mission" (AI Manhattan Project). Trump's plan aims to ensure the United States' dominance in the technology field and requires proof of progress within 270 days.

Unlike the urgent timeline of the US plan, China's system has already been widely deployed, serving more than thousands of potential institutional users. This AI system can receive simple natural language instructions, independently break down complex research tasks, allocate computing resources, run simulations, analyze data, and generate complete scientific reports without continuous human supervision.

The system operates on China's National Supercomputing Network (SCNet), a high-speed digital backbone network connecting more than 30 supercomputing centers across the country, supporting nearly 100 scientific workflows including materials science, biotechnology, and industrial AI.
