The Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Karel Růžička, announced that the T-72M4CZ tanks have completed maintenance and upgrades. If approved by the Czech government, they will be quickly delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The T-72M4CZ tanks were improved by the Czech VOP company between 1994 and 2000, a total of 30 tanks (including 3 command tanks). The reason why the Czech Republic is willing to deliver all T-72M4CZ tanks to Ukraine is because the Czech Republic announced in September that it spent 1.6 billion US dollars to purchase 44 German "Leopard" 2A8 tanks.

The 30 T-72M4CZ tanks can equip a tank battalion for the Ukrainian military, slightly alleviating the serious shortage of tanks. The overall technical and tactical performance of the T-72M4CZ tanks is comparable to the Russian T-72B3 and even the T-90M. They are more suitable for the Ukrainian battlefield than heavier NATO tanks such as the Leopard 2, M1A1, and Challenger II, and are also easier for Ukrainian tankers to master operation capabilities. However, even if these T-72M4CZ tanks arrive at the Ukrainian battlefield, they will not play any significant role.
