Foreign media: China Eastern Airlines signed an agreement with Airbus on March 25 to purchase 101 A320neo aircraft at a list price of approximately $15.8 billion, with deliveries expected to be staged between 2028 and 2032.

China Eastern stated that the new fleet will replace older models, expand capacity, and improve fuel efficiency. Previously, the airline had ordered 100 identical aircraft in 2022, with delivery planned from 2024 to 2027. This transaction is the latest example of large-scale Airbus aircraft procurement by Chinese airlines recently, as Air China, Spring Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and others also announced similar plans in December of last year.

Airbus has been actively seeking to increase its market share in China in recent years, but no rumored deal for a massive order of 500 aircraft was finalized during French President Macron's visit to China in December last year.
