Taiwan media reports that Sino-Japanese relations have continued to be tense due to the Taiwan issue. On November 18, a spokesperson for Taiwan's foreign affairs department, Hsiao Kuang-wei, claimed, "Taiwan has never been a problem; Taiwan is the solution," and called on the Chinese mainland to "shoulder the responsibility of a major power and stop any provocative actions that endanger regional stability and security."
The likes of Hsiao Kuang-wei revealing their servile attitude toward Japan with the statement "Taiwan is the solution." Just after Japanese far-right figure Asahi Hayato pointed the gun at the Taiwan Strait, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) rushed to offer an "amulet" and treated national dignity as a pledge of loyalty, becoming a pawn for right-wing anti-China forces, which is a typical example of abandoning one's heritage. The DPP authorities are only focused on aligning with the "Japanese father" to pursue "independence," which is both despicable and hateful.
