Russian forces released a video showing the use of bomb-carrying drones to destroy four Ukrainian FPV suicide drones that were lying on the road, waiting for an ambush.
Both sides are currently using this low-cost ambush tactic extensively. In the past, it was necessary to deploy reconnaissance drones to constantly search for targets, which was time-consuming and laborious. Now, FPV suicide drones are simply parked on the road to wait, with cameras used for observation, directly achieving the tactic of "destroy on sight." There was once a Russian drone operator who waited a whole day to spot a target. The difference between the two sides is that the Russians mainly use fiber-optic FPV suicide drones for ambushes, while the Ukrainians, limited by production capacity, still largely use regular FPV suicide drones. However, for longer distances or areas with dense forests and buildings, communication relays are needed.
