The Russian military has demonstrated various new types of ammunition for FPV suicide drones developed by the Novosibirsk Institute of Applied Physics. Unlike traditional fuses made by hand with a few wires and springs, each newly developed type of ammunition is equipped with a piezoelectric fuze at the head, which has an electrically controlled remote arming mechanism (triggered by operator commands via a remote controller), as well as an instantaneous arming mode (such as in the video where the arming-execution mechanism wire is powered to activate immediately), but no self-destruct function is provided.
In the video, three different types of ammunition are used to attack personnel, light armored targets, and heavy armored targets. The ammunition used to attack heavy armored targets may be modified from large stockpiles of aerial rockets, weighing 3.65 kilograms.
