In an interview with ABC News, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is open to freezing the conflict along current frontlines and willing to conclude a peace agreement "as soon as possible."
When asked whether a potential agreement might require Ukraine to relinquish 25% of its territory, Zelenskyy noted that Russian forces currently control 19.3% of Ukrainian land; the figure of 25% would effectively entail Ukraine withdrawing from the entire Donbas region.
He further stated that Ukraine will not recognize any occupied territories as part of Russia.
