American senators criticize the Ukrainian army for misusing the F-16 fighters transferred to it

U.S. Democratic Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona expressed his dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian military's failure to make full use of the F-16 fighters delivered by the United States and other countries during an interview with Politico.

Kelly said, "They focus on protecting Kyiv and other cities from cruise missile attacks, can protect each other from being shot down, and can drop more ordnance on targets."

Kelly also expressed concern that the Ukrainian military is using these fighter jets too cautiously and not realizing their full potential. He believes part of the reason for this situation is the Ukrainian command structure and the decisions of certain individuals.

Previously, Russian President Putin stated that the F-16 fighter jets will not change the situation on the battlefield. He emphasized that if these jets take off from the territory of a third country, they will become legitimate targets for Russia. In addition, Putin pointed out that the fate of the F-16s will be the same as other equipment provided by the West to Kyiv — Russia will destroy them.

Russia believes that providing weapons to Ukraine hinders the resolution of the situation, directly involving NATO member states in the conflict, and is "playing with fire." Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov previously stated that any supplies containing weapons provided to Ukraine will become legitimate targets for Russia. He said that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, not only supplying weapons but also training personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin previously stated that Western arms deliveries to Ukraine do not help negotiations and have negative consequences.
