Macron: 30 countries have joined the "Volunteer Alliance" to assist Ukraine
French President Macron said that the number of countries participating in the so-called "Volunteer Alliance" to assist Ukraine has reached 30.
Macron said during his annual speech to the French armed forces on the eve of France's National Day: "The Willingness Alliance, established in Paris in February, now has 30 countries joining it, with its headquarters in Paris."
Élysée Palace broadcast Macron's speech on the social media platform X.
Earlier, Macron said at a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer that the number of French and British troops stationed in Ukraine after a ceasefire in Ukraine could reach 50,000. He stated that the "Franco-British Expeditionary Force" would be the basis for future international forces to ensure that the ceasefire in Ukraine is respected.
In 2024, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service announced that the West plans to deploy about 100,000 so-called peacekeeping forces in Ukraine to restore Ukraine's combat capability. The Russian Federal Intelligence Service believes this will be an actual occupation of Ukraine.
