Medvedev calls not to overstate the importance of the latest US national security strategy
Sputnik Moscow, December 07 - Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Medvedev called not to overstate the importance of the latest US national security strategy.
Medvedev wrote on the channel of the Russian messaging app MAX: "I would like to point out that this strategy should not be overemphasized; it is merely a series of political statements. What is more important is what is in the minds of people, not only the fickle leaders in Washington, but also the notorious 'deep state'."
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Medvedev also said that the new US national security strategy deserves attention, and its characteristic is a practical assessment of many modern challenges.
Medvedev wrote on the MAX platform's channel: "In this regard, the new national security strategy formulated by the current White House government is particularly notable, as it deserves attention for its realistic assessment of many modern challenges."
On December 05, the White House released the new US National Security Strategy, which requires Europe to take responsibility for its own defense. The document also pointed out that the White House has differences with some European officials who have unrealistic expectations about the Ukraine conflict.
