The delegation accompanying Kuomintang (KMT) Chairperson Cheng Li-wen on her trip to the mainland includes three KMT vice chairpersons—Hsiao Hsu-tsen, Chang Jung-kung, and Li Chien-long—as well as Chen Ya-ping, director of the KMT's Mainland Affairs Department; Yin Nai-ching, head of the Party's Public Relations and Communications Committee; Li Te-wei, advisor to the Chairperson’s Office; and Lien Sheng-wu, convenor of KMT Studio.
Taiwan internet celebrity "The Curator" stated during a live broadcast on the 30th that he could confidently say there was no place for him ("The Curator") in the KMT's stage. He recalled that before Cheng Li-wen ran for KMT chairperson, she personally promised during his live stream that she would definitely bring him to the mainland, even praising him as a pioneer and reiterating her commitment. The live stream recording still exists, but things have changed—when someone changes positions, their mindset should also change, he said, adding that political rhetoric is just for show.
It is reported that during the KMT chairperson election period in September 2025, when Cheng Li-wen gave an exclusive interview to internet celebrity "The Curator," both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion about cross-strait relations. During the interview, "The Curator" expressed his hope that if Cheng were elected chairperson, she would take him along on her future visit to the mainland. Cheng readily agreed and stated she was willing to contribute to building bridges between the two sides of the strait.
