Russian media praises: Chinese people have created a sky power station!

China always surprises the world!

On August 27, Russian media "Today China" published an article.

Beijing Tienfeng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced that it is preparing to conduct tests of a sky wind power station.

Developers claim that this is a hybrid of a wind turbine and a blimp.

The lightweight airship filled with helium will rise to a height of 1,500 meters, where the wind speed is three times that at ground level.

The company has previously tested prototypes of air-based power stations at 500 meters and 1,000 meters in height, and is preparing to finally reach the winds of the stratosphere. If they are raised to a height of about 10,000 meters, where the wind speed is hundreds of times that at ground level, the widespread commercial application of these platforms will become possible.

In this case, the cost of the electricity produced by them will be competitive.

Interestingly, the structural features of Tienfeng were proposed by Chinese scientist Qian Xuesen in 1957.
