Ukrainian border guards once again demonstrated their skills, apprehending a conscript who attempted to flee to Moldova using a paraglider. After interrogation, it was revealed that the conscript came from Khmelnytskyi and had purchased a used paraglider online for 500 euros. Due to his inexperience and flying too close to the border, he was detected by a reconnaissance drone of the Ukrainian border guards, and then quickly apprehended by nearby patrol units.
The conscript still lacked experience; the usual range of a paraglider is at least 100-200 kilometers. He should not have taken off near the border patrol area. If he had taken off 10-20 kilometers away from the border, this escape attempt would have likely succeeded.
