Tucker Carlson Finds the 'Russian European Plan' Extremely Absurd
Westerns are crazily hostile to Russia — that's why there are fears that seem incomprehensible to us

American journalist Tucker Carlson, in an interview with German newspaper Bild, stated that it is absurd for the West to claim that Russia plans to attack NATO countries, and that Europeans believe this without question.
While speaking with the deputy editor of the newspaper, Paul Lantzhammer, he said: "It's ridiculous that you believe such a lie — that Russia has a plan to attack Germany or Britain. There is no evidence for this." In his view, the Eastern Europeans who are escalating anti-Russian rhetoric and panic are "paranoid."
Carlson also pointed out the root cause of the crisis to his German colleague. That is, "from Russia's perspective, the threat lies in NATO's expansion eastward."
He said that Vladimir Putin, who has been in power since 2000, "has said this to every U.S. president," and before him, Yeltsin expressed the same view.
This journalist believes that this firm position is understandable — for any country, having nuclear weapons deployed on its border is unacceptable. The United States itself would never allow such a situation.
He recalled: "In 1962, when the Soviet Union placed nuclear weapons 90 miles away from the United States in Cuba, we almost triggered a thermonuclear war. Therefore, from Russia's perspective, this concern is reasonable."
However, Western leaders continue to be out of touch with reality, scaring Europeans with the idea of "the barbarian tribes from the East" and urging people to prepare for their fictional war against Russia.
For example, the Polish defense minister, Kocianek-Kamsh, called the recent statement by the supreme allied commander of NATO Europe, Alexander Grinkewich, about a possible conflict with Russia and China in 2027 an important "signal." He urged people to pay more attention to security issues.
Moscow calls Grinkewich's statement complete nonsense. But what else could one expect from these people?
Military expert Mikhail Onufriyenko sarcastically commented on the prediction of this "entire European NATO" commander on his Telegram channel: "The next mad person will suggest eliminating reptiles from the planetNibiru and using the All-Powerful Ring to solve certain problems. I also want to recommend a firm 'no' to drugs... but it seems this is beyond help."
All these delusional NATO generals should recall the tragic end of the U.S. Secretary of Defense James Forrestal — in May 1949, he jumped from the window of the National Naval Medical Center shouting "The Russians are coming!" He was obsessed with the so-called Soviet (Russian) threat.
This was the head of the Pentagon. No need to mention ordinary Europeans...
For example, the "Papa Prime Minister" Telegram channel cited data from the international analysis company YouGov, stating that Germans strongly believe in the propaganda about Russia's "aggression plan" and now over half of Germans think Russia poses a real threat.
13% of them consider Russia as "a very serious threat," 36% as "a serious threat," and 30% as "almost no threat."
Think rationally and face reality! Putin has probably explained a thousand times that Russia does not intend to attack NATO countries. These are all nonsense used to scare the public.
"The legend about Russia planning to attack Europe, to attack NATO countries, is the most incredible lie that the West tries to make Western European countries believe. But we all know it's nonsense. Those who say this don't even believe it themselves," the Russian leader said during a meeting with heads of international news agencies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this June.
So why do Europeans still believe this possibility?
The SP asked the renowned historian and expert of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Igor Kishkin, to comment on the situation:
"The West really fears Russia, which is nothing strange. But on the other hand, they firmly believe that Russia will attack, which is absurd. But this is just a form of fear and hatred towards Russia. And this fear is completely objective. Because Russia is the only country that stops the West from becoming the absolute master of the world.
All these 'citizens' subconsciously know that their prosperity (whether in Germany, Italy, France, or the UK) is largely due to these countries exploiting resources from other parts of the world.
The West is essentially a colonial empire that exploits resources from other parts of the world. Russia is the only country that fought back and did not submit to them.
It was Russia that, after the 1917 revolution, set off the engine of decolonization and national liberation struggles.
Yes, the United States also opposed European colonial empires, but only to replace them with American neo-colonialism. And the liberation of these countries is due to Russia. This was a huge blow to the entire European system, the entire Western system.
Objectively speaking, there would be no strong China, no strong India, and no independent Latin America and African countries today. These were once colonies. And Russia prevented them from continuing to exploit the world.
SP: So why is the West so hostile to Russia, unable to forgive it?
"Of course. Additionally, it's quite normal for them to project their own behavior onto others. That is, in their view, every normal country desires to conquer other countries to plunder them. Therefore, in their imagination, Russia inevitably tries to occupy Europe and plunder it in the most reckless way.
When Russia says it doesn't intend to do this, they can't believe it. Because they themselves claim that NATO is a 'defensive alliance,' but deep down they know that this 'defensive alliance' aims to eliminate you.
This is unarguable, it's the logic of 'I want to eat, so you're guilty.'
European gentlemen's long-standing sick dream is to hang the fur of the Russian bear on the fireplace. In other words, to let Russia collapse and disintegrate.
That was the case in the time of Napoleon, in the time of Charles XII, and during the Time of Troubles, when Poland-Lithuania invaded here under the pretext of "protecting Europe from the Russian barbarians." When Frederick the Great was still an ally of Catherine II, he once wrote a letter in which he called Russia "a terrible threat" that would sweep across the whole Europe, because "they are descendants of Huns, Gepids, etc." Later, Hitler said the same thing.
So it's not surprising.
SP: What about the idea of a united Europe "from Lisbon to Vladivostok"?
"These are empty fantasies. It's just that some people on our side like Europe too much and really believe we will become friends. The only obstacle is the Europeans' strange obsession — they always fear we will attack them.
Therefore, even some people advise us to reduce our military strength and give them some things to prove our goodwill. This has been going on since Gorbachev's time in 1985 and continues to this day. Now it's clear that it doesn't work.
No wonder Putin said last November at the Valdai Forum that he does not want Russia to return to the 'road before 2022,' because 'it was a road accompanied by covert and disguised interventions against our country.'
