[Global Times Report] According to a report by The Hill, an American publication, The Atlantic released an interview with US President Trump on April 28 local time. During the interview, Trump proudly claimed that during his second term as president, "I will manage the country and the world." USA Today reported that Trump's approval rating has been suffering heavy losses while he was being interviewed.

According to reports, Trump expressed different views about his two terms as president during the interview. He claimed, "During my first term, I had two things to do, managing the country and surviving, I faced all these cunning people. During my second term, I will manage the country and the world." Trump also responded to multiple issues in the interview, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth being embroiled in the "signals scandal" among others.

Forbes magazine mentioned that there is long-standing animosity between Trump and The Atlantic. Trump once refused to accept their interview but later changed his mind.

USA Today reported that Trump's approval rating has been suffering heavy losses while accepting this interview. In the latest poll conducted by The Washington Post, ABC, and Ipsos, his approval rating dropped to 39%, due to concerns from respondents about the US economy and Trump's aggressive tariff policies.
