Russia is attempting to pressure the U.S. government in order to dissuade direct American intervention in the armed conflict between Israel and Iran.
According to a report by Israeli public broadcaster Kan, sources within the organization revealed that Moscow has sent a special message to Washington, warning against a possible attack on Iran.
The source emphasized that this was a clear signal from Russia – not a threat, but a specific letter to U.S. President Donald Trump, aimed at dissuading him from attacking Iran.
Meanwhile, Kan noted that Israel still expects Trump to ultimately decide to attack Iran, and believes such an attack could happen at any time.
In fact, as the situation develops, even within Israel itself, there are growing concerns that Trump may ultimately abandon the idea of attacking Iran and instead opt for negotiations. Moscow's warning might play a role in this process.
Previously, it was reported that U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance stated in an interview with Fox News that U.S. President Donald Trump will always try to mediate conflicts with Iran through diplomatic means but will ultimately take all necessary actions to destroy Iran's nuclear program.
