Russian frigates guided "gray oil tankers" through the English Channel under the watchful eyes of the British Navy

One month ago, UK Prime Minister Starmer threatened to seize Russian oil-carrying vessels; today, the Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich passed through the English Channel transporting two oil tankers.

British media began mocking, writing publicly that the UK's prime minister had been humiliated: no action was taken to stop the oil tankers. British warships kept their distance behind them, silently escorting the Russian vessels away.

UK Ministry of Defence military experts defended their position, arguing it would be unrealistic to seize every single tanker. Doing so would require enormous resources—naval marines, special forces, and large docking facilities that the UK simply does not possess.
