The report said that in the joint statement issued, the foreign ministers of the United States, India, Japan, and Australia urged that those behind the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack be brought to justice. Sujan also met with US Secretary of Defense Hegseth (Pete Hegseth), during which they discussed advancing the defense partnership between the two countries. "Happy to meet @SecDef Pete Hegseth today in Washington D.C.," he said in another X post: "A productive dialogue was held on advancing the India-US defense partnership based on converging interests, capabilities, and responsibilities."
