Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested a Ukrainian female spy who was preparing to carry out a terrorist attack in the Crimean region of Russia. The female spy was planning an assassination targeting a Russian military officer.
This 24-year-old woman holds dual Russian and Ukrainian citizenship, and she has been trained by the Ukrainian intelligence agency. She received orders from her superiors to plant a remote-controlled bomb on a vehicle that would be used by a high-ranking Russian officer. In the interrogation, the female spy confessed, and the FSB found explosives and various electronic components needed for assembling a bomb at her home. These items were sent to her by her superiors through Western countries.
Currently, a Russian local court will bring charges against her for terrorism, treason, and espionage. The maximum sentence she could face is life imprisonment.
