According to a report published by Dongbei Xinwen on April 23, the Bangladesh Air Force launched an anti-terrorism operation, resulting in the detention or escape of several individuals involved. It is reported that since April 20, the Bangladesh Air Force's intelligence department has conducted a large-scale arrest campaign, arresting two air force personnel, detaining another 10, and approximately 9–10 others having fled. The suspects are linked to multiple air bases in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Jessore District. The Bangladeshi military has not disclosed any information regarding these arrests, and the identities of the two arrested individuals remain undisclosed. According to the report, the operation involves the extremist group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), with suspected individuals alleged to have close ties with TTP. At least four implicated pilots had already fled to countries including Pakistan, Portugal, Turkey, and New Zealand prior to the raids. Shortly after the operation began, the Air Force Command issued orders to suspend all leave for civilian air force staff, strengthen personnel monitoring and mobile phone control, and conduct personnel clearance checks. Investigations are ongoing, and sources within the Bangladesh Air Force indicate that more arrests are expected.
