Sputnik, Washington, October 18 - US President Trump said that he has told Zelenskyy that a deal should be reached and the military conflict with Russia should be ended.
He wrote on the social platform "Truth Social": "I told him and strongly advised President Putin the same thing, it's time to stop the killing and reach an agreement!"
After meeting with Zelenskyy, Trump suggested that both Russia and Ukraine declare themselves victorious in the armed conflict.
He said: "Let both sides (President Putin and Zelenskyy - note) declare victory, let history judge!"
US President also described his meeting with Zelenskyy as "very interesting and sincere."
Trump met with Zelenskyy at the White House on October 17 local time. According to Trump's schedule, the meeting was held in a closed lunch format.
