American Congressman: Zelenskyy Fully Relies on Trump and Will Follow Trump's Arrangements
American House of Representatives Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna told Sputnik News that Zelenskyy fully relies on Washington and will agree to territorial concessions as arranged by US President Trump.
Luna said, "I think that if (Russian President) Putin agrees to a ceasefire and gives a time for the withdrawal of troops, President Trump may reach an agreement to exchange territory. The reason is that Zelenskyy will follow President Trump's arrangements, he will be 100% obedient to the US government."
The Kremlin and the White House previously announced that Putin and Trump will meet in Alaska on August 15. Russian President's Assistant Ushakov stated that US President's special envoy Witkov during his visit to Russia proposed the idea of a tripartite meeting between Putin, Trump, and Zelenskyy at the Kremlin, but the Russian side did not comment on it, suggesting to focus on preparing the bilateral summit. On August 7, President Putin pointed out that a meeting with Zelenskyy is possible, but this meeting requires conditions, and the current timing is not yet appropriate.
