Russian ambassador: Successive British governments have shown the same irresponsibility.

Andrei Kelin, the Russian ambassador to the UK, said that the alternation of British governments has demonstrated the same irresponsibility on the international stage, continuing its anti-Russian stance and support for Ukraine.

Kelin said, "Prime Ministers Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, and Keir Starmer have shown a similarly hostile and irresponsible attitude in assessing the international situation and the consequences of their actions. Despite the UK having replaced four prime ministers and four or five foreign secretaries during this period, the continuity of the anti-Russian policy and the meaningless and reckless support for Ukraine continues."

In April this year, UK Defense Minister John Healey announced new military aid worth £350 million to Kyiv.

Sergei Lavrov, Russia's foreign minister, said that any supplies of weapons to Ukraine would become legitimate targets. The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that NATO countries' provision of weapons to Ukraine was akin to "playing with fire." Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian president, stated that Western countries' supply of weapons to Ukraine does not contribute to the success of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and generates negative impacts. Lavrov emphasized that the US and NATO are directly involved in the Ukraine conflict, which includes providing weapons as well as training core personnel in countries such as the UK, Germany, Italy, and others.
